About Me
Hi, I’m Jo. I’m a photographer and trained mindful photography practitioner, who can often be found whispering to trees, watching waves, scribbling in notebooks and seeking out daily doses of creativity and calm.
Photography brings me stillness, joy and connection with the natural world, and writing helps me reflect, process and share what emerges from my images and practice. Both help me enormously whilst I play my challenging and tactical game of chess with Metastatic Breast Cancer whilst living a full, beautiful and connected life.
My love of photography and a long-standing mindfulness practice led me to training in mindful photography with Look Again and I now lead small group and individual sessions to help people slow down, notice what is often overlooked and (re)connect with nature. More about the mindful photography approach can be found here.
My Nature in Mind page on Substack is where I share musings on a life with nature, creativity and connection at its heart and how we can all introduce a little more of these into our lives, even when we are dealing with the difficult stuff.
